Congratulations and good luck to CFC Players selected in the Interleague Squad-Seniors- Aaron Walklate, Kieran Sait, Dean McKay, Kain Robins, Tom Finlay, Daniel Thiesz and Anthony Judd. Under 19’s-Trent Cossar, Connor Lee and Jack Thompson.
Last week we took on the Demons at Wycheproof. It was a tight tussle in the opening term and the intensity and tackle count from our boys was right up there. Scores were level at the first break. Tom Finlay was getting dangerous for us with his run off the wing, Snowy was in and under everything and the backline was rock solid. Momentary lapses allowed the class of the Demons to gain a break on us but there are plenty of positive signs if we choose to bring the same intensity each week. Trent Cossar and Jack Thompson both had outstanding games on more experienced opposition and Ryan Moloney continues to impress with his work rate. We were still in the game in the last but we went down to last years Premiers by 33 points.
The Reserves were undermanned last week with several outs but they continued to win plenty of footy throughout the day. Lachlan Holmes Brown continues his great form and Jake Lanyon and Luke Zagame had solid games. Cobi Fitzpatrick stood up for us in the Ruck and Fergus Bourke stepped up from the Juniors to assist and did well. Wyche won by 54 points.
