The Lismore Swans will travel to Bangalow for the first time this season to take on the Magpies in the most important match of the season to date. The Swans were able to defeat the Magpies the first 2 times played this season, however the last time these two sides met the Magpies easily accounted a Swans outfit very off their game.
The Swans will be missing many of their key players as they have for most of the season. George Massa and Wesley Seewald will be missing from Saturdays game which will give others the opportunity to step up, be accountable, and push for finals selection.
The game is so important for so many reasons, a good display and a win will get the Swans second spot, a double chance, huge confidence coming into the finals, and the chance to go straight through to the Grand Final if they beat Ballina the following week.
However a loss is not all that bad if the boys put in a big effort. A loss will mean the Swans will have the long road to the Grand Final however will have a much easier game first up against Nimbin and can further develop their game plan and get everyone into good form.
Wherever the Swans end up after Saturdays game, the opportunity to succeed in the finals is still their for the talking, its up to all the boys how far they from here.
