It was the battle of the demons at Beazley Reserve on Saturday with the home side running out victors. An appalling opening term where we conceded 8 goals sealed our fate for the day, with our reasonable effort from that point redundant. We need to ready when the game starts, not quarter time. Nigel and Gav looked dangerous up forward, whilst Forsy and Shermo showed why they should have trained more this year. It would be very easy to blame a few injuries, but they players must take responsibility for the match blowing first quarter, It was a great shame to see Waata end his year in the way he did. He can certainly hold his head high for his efforts this season.
The reserves also fell short against Chelsea Heights. Injuries to the seniors combined with an ill timed snow trip left Coach Riley struggling for soldiers. Great to see the young brigade of Champion, Burns and Sharp in the best, along with the returning Sanga.
