I am delighted to confirm that from tomorrow, every parent with a school-aged child in New South Wales will be eligible to claim the NSW Government’s $100 Active Kids voucher, which will help cover the cost of participating in sport or other approved physical activity.

 

Parents can claim their $100 voucher online and then submit their voucher to their approved sport or physical activity provider when paying their membership or participation fees. The voucher will not be means-tested and is available to every school-aged child.

 

I am advised that you are not yet a registered provider and I would like to let you know it is not too late to do so.

 

To register as a provider in the Active Kids program you must deliver a structured sport or activity program of at least eight weeks' duration and be a:

• sporting club/association affiliated with a recognised State Sporting Organisation located in NSW, or
• for-profit or not-for-profit activity provider located in NSW.

 

Individual providers can register with Service NSW from 1 March 2018. After registering online with Service NSW for a MyService business account, providers will be able to register for Active Kids. The registration process may take up to 28 days to allow for relevant checks of the organisation to make sure it is eligible for the Active Kids Program.

 

To facilitate your registration, please ensure you hold a current ABN, ACN or Certificate of Incorporation, do not have any outstanding actions or enforcement orders recorded by the Office of Fair Trading and have the appropriate accreditations as required. All providers must be approved by, and registered with, the Active Kids Program prior to accepting vouchers.
