2018 Season Information
The DBA is introducing a new super season in 2018 as the first step in transitioning the DBA competitions to two seasons running from September to April and then from April to September.
The Super season (a once off season) commences Monday 5th Feb 2018 and will be conducted as follows;
Second season commences after a 3 week break on 15/10/19 and goes until 15/12/18 with a 6 break for Christmas and recommences 28/1/19 - Grand Finals 8/4 - 13/4/2019
- 3 weeks compulsory grading (Juniors and Seniors)
- 21+ week season + 3 week Finals
- Grand Final (week of 17/9 to 22/9)
- No games Easter Good Friday to Monday
- School Holiday break 16/4 - 22/4 (1 week)
- School Holiday break 25/6 - 22/7 (4 week)
- No games - School Sports Australia Championships Hosted in Darwin (11/8 - 18/8)
Sign-on Day
Saturday 20 January 2018 at the Darwin Basketball Stadium, 11am – 2pm
We can assist with team placements, training schedules, fees and uniforms.
Training
Juniors : Sundays 9am till 12pm courts 3 , 4 and 5, commence 28/1/2018
Seniors : Sundays 1pm till 2.30pm court 2. commence 4/2/2018
Note : Seniors, prior to 4/2/2018, can come for a run Mondays 6pm – 7.30pm at Casuarina Secondary College.
Fees
Due to increases in court hire and the inherent difficulty in following up Club fees, the Club is introducing mandatory Club fee payment in 2018. This means when you register with the DBA you will need to pay the Club fee also.
The 2018 fees (1 fee for the entire season) are;
- Juniors: $75
- Seniors: $70
- League training fee: $40
