The Lismore Swans came out and belted the Nimbin Demons by 137 points in Nimbin. The Swans were asked for a big start and that they did with a 10 goal first term. The Demons hit back in the second with a few centre clearances however the Swans dominated the rest of the match. It was very hard to falt anyones performance on the day the boys worked hard and connected well all day.
The Swans played a very good running game opening up the field with their quick delivery forward. The defence was brilliant all day long putting a lot pressure on Nimbins forwards and continuosly driving the ball out of the backline. Some great tackling by Riley was inspirational as the backline held strong with the ever reliable Nathan Box, Angus Legoe and Nathan Jones. Ruckman Dylan Brooks and midfielders Lincoln Shinners, Daniel Bruce and Josh Mapstone were outstanding working the ball to the forwards and providing run. Wingers George Massa and Mitch Grivins dominated with their running style of football and kicking 15 goals between them. The forwards tried hard all day, Adam Rhodes taking some strong grabs while Wesley Seewald found plenty of space and finding the running midfielders.
George Massa kicked a 10 goal haul, Mitch Grivins kicked 5, 2 each to Roly Barrett, Josh Mapestone and Daniel Bruce while singles were kicked by Eddie Burton, Adam Rhodes, John Thompson, Wesley Seewald, Ritchard Blundell, and Mitch Montgomery.
Hard to pick out todays best players which included Lincoln Shinners, Eddie Burton, George Massa, Mitch Grivins, Josh Mapestone and Daniel Bruce.
A fantastic effort all over the ground!
