Playing in Grand Finals creates memories you'll never forget, but leading your team to one is special in its own right. For the 3 junior captains that will be leading their teams out this weekend, the weight of a club is on their shoulders, but they're happy to wear it. We had the pleasure of getting an insight from each of these leaders during the week.

 

Elijah Sciascia, Under 12 Boys

"(Making the Grand Final) feels good, because our team has come through a lot, especially at the start of the season."

"We came in to the Grand Final from nowhere and that makes me proud, of course I'm confident that our team will win."

 

Jasmine Naraghi, Under 15 Girls

"It feels more pressured this year (than 2 years ago) as we are older and more experienced now."

"I'm excited to play in the Grand Final with an amazing group of girls."

"It is important to win this final, not ony just to know we finished on top and undefeated all season, but also to know that all the work we've put in this year pays off"

"Even if we don't win, we all know we've had a great season together, but we won't let this one game put us down."

 

Bobby Dick, Under 17 Boys

"(The season) was difficult to start with, but as we got to more training sessions, we started getting better, I was definitely confident we could make it to the Grand Final."

"As long as we stick to what we've worked on, we'll get the result we want on Sunday"
