The Rococo’s Bar and Bistro Noosa Tigers bounced back from their second loss of the season with a commanding twenty-two goal win at Weyba road over a fairly lifeless Burleigh Bombers outfit last Saturday. The first half was a scrappy and untidy affair although the Noosa boys were always in control and if not for some wayward goal kicking, quite possibly should have blown the game away a tad earlier. The big win keeps the tigers alone at the top of the Hart Sport Division 1 QFA Ladder with two rounds to play out.
The usual suspects were again among the best with ruckman Coleman and McDonald feeding the on ball brigade the entire day. The grunt of Nick Hill and Barry Smeeton was tremendous in releasing stars Templeton and in particular Fitzpatrick; whose skill and movement through traffic wowed the crowd on several occasions to be adjudged best player on the ground. Down back it was Laskey again who shone with his strength and precision with helpers Lambourne, Maher and in particular Woods who again made himself one of the standout players on ground with another near faultless display of skill and team orientated play. Up forward it was great to see Kent Delbridge back in some top form bagging six goals with big Ryan Jeffries and coach Sam Faure chiming in with 8 between them in a very dominant performance. So with 2 fixture rounds remaining I'm sure Sam Faure and his coaching staff will be fine tuning selection and training with some very big games coming up within the next month.
Can’t wait! Go Tigers,
Cheers Pittsy
