Match Report - Round 14

Under 15s

Gippsland FC 1 - Casey Panthers 1

In need of a win to keep the pressure on the teams above them, the day proved to be a day of frustration, the boys being only able to muster a draw against lowly Casey. Adi Page providing one of the few highlights scoring the solitary goal. Having only lost once this season,  the Gippslanders have been left to rue their missed opportunities.

Under 14’s

Gippsland FC 4 - Sandringham 0

After two weeks in succession of facing the top team, the boys had a chance to improve their ruthlessness in front of goal as they faced Sandringham who have struggled for most of the season. A brace to both Cory Johnson and leading scorer Manny Scarlett ensured there was no shock result. The win sees the Gippsland boys climb into third, only 2 points off the top.

Under 13’s

Gippsland FC 2 - East Bentleigh 0

With confidence building, the under 13s headed to a strong East Bentleigh outfit, and what transpired was a result that matched their form. Playing what was regarded as their best game of the season, the lads took all of the points with two second half goals by Rhys Galvin and Tana Betera. In a great team effort., the Gippslanders moved themselves up into fifth position on the ladder.
