The Norwest Jets (Hawkesbury Australian Football Club Inc) in conjunction with the E.J. Whitten Foundation are hosting a Charity Golf Day to be held at Riverside Oaks on Friday July 25th.
The E.J. Whitten Foundation was established in 1995 to commemorate the passing of Ted Whitten who unfortunately passed away due to prostate cancer and is now active in raising funds to support prostate cancer research.
The golf will tee off with a shot gun start at 8.30am and will be followed by a luncheon, presentations and entertainment in the afternoon.
All proceeds from the golf day will go to the Foundation to help them with the ongoing research into finding a cure for this disease that affects the health of so many men.
I am writing to ask for your help and support in some form for this great cause.
Obviously these sorts of events are aimed at the corporate sector and I would encourage you to pass on our invitation (attached) to those associated within your club that may have the means or contacts to help support the day.
We would also like to see each club enter a team on the day as a strong message of support from the Sydney football fraternity for such a great cause.
Bob Skilton and Barry Round, two former greats from the Sydney Swans and South Melbourne era will be attending the day and will complement the guest line up of entertainers and a prominent surgeon who specialises in this field.
A sumptuous luncheon, raffle and memorabilia auction will be conducted as well as some fun on the golf course. There are great prizes to be won and everyone will be assured of a great day for a great cause.
We sincerely look forward to you and your club getting behind this day.
Please feel free to contact me should you require any further details
Best Regards
Jim Allan
