Social News-Christmas in July 22nd July. Sportspersons Night with Kerry O’Keefe 5th August. 7’s Netball Premiership Reunion August 12th.
Football-Seniors. We hosted Boort last round at home. The backline was under pressure early as the Magpies got out to a 33 point lead at the first break. Ben Walklate was driving us forward well and Tom Finlay cracked in for four quarters. We managed to outscore the opposition over the next three quarters but skill errors by foot were again costly and a 29 point deficit was the result at games end. Shaun Bowles, Dean McKay and Danny Wright along with Finlay all battled well in defence while Anthony Judd, Ben Walklate, Josh McKee worked hard. The progression of the first year players continues with Connor Lee impressive at times as was Trent Cossar, Marcus Campbell, Jack and Jed Thompson.
Reserves- It was a competitive effort by the Navies as they took on top four side Boort. Joe Durie and Lachlan Holmes Brown played solid games as did Damien McIntyre, Troy Sait, Ryan Moloney, Anthony Miller and Nigel Williams. It was arguably the most even team performance for the reserves this season as they matched it with Boort around the grounds but unfortunately not on the scoreboard going down by 31 points. Anthony Miller showed his class up forward as did Charlie Patullo. The work of Will Fitzpatrick, Griffin House, Connor Hooper and Matt Thompson all showed signs of a bright future ahead.

Under 13’s
In a very evenly contested game Boort were victorious on this occasion. Our boys battled hard all day with most of the play but just couldn't capitalise on their opportunities.
The whole team contributed well and there was some very pleasing passages of play. Watching Jackson Zagame play his first game in the ruck was very pleasing to the coaches and the coaches made special mention to the younger brigade on their efforts.
