Lincoln, who has recently officiated as a boundary umpire in last year's Black Diamond Cup Grand Final will be this week taking the field to umpire his first Black Diamond Cup match. This appointment comes after a terrific first half to the season, in which he has impressed coaches and fellow senior umpires alike with his work rate, decision making and his willingness to listen and learn from the more experienced umpires.
Miles, who took up umpiring this season, has been rewarded for a consistent first half of the season and will make his Black Diamond Cup debut as a boundary umpire.
Both umpires will be officiating in the Warners Bay vs Terrigal Avoca match at Feighan Oval, alongside their father, Simon. This will no doubt be a special day for the McCauley family.
The NCCUA congratulates both Miles and Lincoln on their meteoric rise through the ranks and wishes them all the very best for a great day.
