The Western Jets suffered their second defeat of the season going down to a determined Geelong side on the weekend.
Geelong dominated from the outset and after the jets scored the first point of the game the falcons kicked 5.4 to race to a 33 point lead at quarter time.
The Jets managed to rally in the second quarter with goals to Fitzpatrick and the late inclusion Lawson, and were 4 goals down at half time.
That would be the closest the Jets would get as Geelong turned in a 10 goal to 1 third quarter to make the league leader look like witches hats. At 3 quarter time they had stretched their lead to 77 points.
The last quarter was just a formality as the Falcons ran out very easy 83 point winners. Best for the Jets were Matthew Notman off half back, Kyle hartigan and the late inclusion Dion Lawson who kicked 3 goals.
