The Coomera women flew the flag for the Pies, while the senior and reserves men's teams went down against strong Aspley squads.
The women won in a low-scoring affair, outclassing their Aspley opponents by making better use of their opportunities to hold on for a twelve point victory. The final scores were 3.7.25 to Aspley's 1.7.13. Our girls will back up again this week to play against Broadbeach, down at the nest at 4:40 on Sunday afternoon.
The senior men's team had a tough afternoon, and endured a 106 point defeat to ladder leaders Aspley. After a strong showing at training, the boys are ready to bounce back against 3rd placed Robina at 2pm down at the nest on Sunday.
The reserves men's team also struggled to hit the scoreboard against Aspley, and will be looking to get back on the winner's list against Robina as well, their game kicks off at 11:45 at home.
Stay tuned for this week's newsletters for full match reports from the coaches, and make sure to come down and support all our teams this weekend.
Go Pies!
