SENIORS
Donald FC got themselves a good start and outworked us early with run and spread. The Royal Blues held a 29 point advantage at the first break. This margin was also the final margin at the end of the match, indicating we matched our opponents for the rest of the game but the slow start cost us. Shaun Bowles was creative on a wing while Joe Tormey took another step in cementing himself as a consistent senior footballer with a solid effort. Matt Giri and Tom Finlay were attacking and hard working resulting in two goals each while Lachlan Cunningham, Aaron and Ben Walklate and Mark Vigus were other good contributors.
RESERVES
An entertaining and tight game of footy took place in the reserves between Charlton and Donald. A great second term saw us hold 19 point lead at the main break with Connor Smith, Nick Richardson, Nigel Williams, Ryan Moloney and Connor Lee all having plenty of the ball. Corey Fanning was dangerous up forward kicking three with his usual committed attack on the footy. Donald took the upper hand in the third term kicking 3 goals to nil and despite plenty of forward entries in the last by Charlton the DFC backline stood firm and the Royal Blues ran out 11 point victors.

After winning the first two games of the season, the Navies suffered their first lost against Donald last Saturday. The boys lead at each change and played some amazing football, however Donald scored three quick goals in succession and ran out 17 point winners at the final siren. The coach praised his players for their hard work and although the players were disappointed to lose the game, he was extremely proud of their efforts and reminded them, that we have a lot of improvement left in us and today we take on Boort with more confidence.
