The Melton Bloods are again pleased to have players involved in the VFL and TAC Cup System this year.
In the VFL, Mark Orr continues his football career at the Coburg Lions. Orr is entering his third season with the Lions and has been added to their leadership group this year.
At Werribee, Brock Kennedy returns for a second season, while Jordyn Cotter and Billy Crofts move to Werribee for their first year after graduating from the Western Jets in the TAC Cup. Crofts start to the season will be delayed slightly after he injured a finger during the pre-season.
Dyson Stevens returns to the Northern Blues after he won their Development League B&F in 2016. He also had a taste of VFL Senior football on two occasions last year, and has already played senior footy with the Blues this season.
Liam Carter enters his second season of VFL football at Williamstown. After spending 2016 in the Development League, Liam will be aiming to make his debut in the Seagulls Senior team at some stage this year. Joining him at Williamstown is Jacob Magee who has recently aligned himself with the Bloods as his local club.
In the TAC Cup, we have Blake Souter at the Western Jets. Souter made his debut in the Bloods senior team in 2014 as a 15 year old and returns to the Jets for his top age year after missing all of 2016 with a meniscus tear. Brock McGregor also returns to the Jets as an overage player. Having completed his school football commitments with PEGS, Brock will be able to play at the Jets this year on a full time basis.
We wish the 7 players in the VFL system, and 2 players in the TAC Cup program all the best for the year ahead and if the opportunity arises look forward to seeing them play the occasional game with the Bloods.
