MONDAY MATCH REPORT & TRAINING THIS WEEK
Round 1 vs Watsonia Sporting Club at AK Lines Reserve.
Reserves:
Almost the perfect start to season 2017 but just fell short in what was difficult wind conditions. Our boys preparation was perfect and they worked their butts off laying over 100 tackles for the game. The pleasing point was our 4 qtr workrate led by Kano, Oscar, Bailin, Walshy and Carson but its unfair to point out individuals as all 24 gave their all. We have an enormous amount to look forward to this season and beyond providing we maintain our workrate and structures.
Steve Layt
Seniors:
An even contest for most of the day with only a couple of goals separating the two teams, until the last quarter when Watsonia controlled the game & ran out 27 point winners. Plenty to like about how we played at stages of the game but also plenty to improve on.

Training:
Training this week will only be on Tuesday Night due to the Easter holidays this weekend. With one less session this week, it's vital to get as many numbers as possible on the track to keep improving on our games.
On a very positive note, we fielded our first girls under 14 team on Sunday, and they started off with a big win against Bundoora Park. Go girls !
Sportsmans Lunch : Billy Brownless and Dave O’Neill Friday 12 May 2017 - tables are filling up fast – so make sure you let me know if you haven’t already and would like to book a table. Cost is $135, including 2 course meal (catered by Panton Hill Hotel) and drinks.
Supa Box: The Supa Box has just about sold out. We only have the following games available – 29/4, 22/7 and 12/8.
Enjoy the Easter break everyone, and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our first home game v Lower Plenty (twilight game – commencing 4 pm)

Kind Regards,
