A Different Breed
A history of the Port Melbourne Football Club Volume 3 - 1945-1995
by Terry Keenan
Terry Keenan completes his history of the Port Melbourne Football Club (PMFC) after WWII where it was left in Unduly Rough Play taking us to the demise of the Victorian Football Association (VFA) in 1995 with the formation of the new Victorian Football League (VFL).
A Different Breed follows the ups and downs of the club in the post-war period during which the highly competitive teams representing PMFC enabled it to become the most successful club in the history of the VFA.
This part of the story is interlaced with premiership successes and notoriety both on and off the field powered by an impressive supply of locally produced footballers.
In A Different Breed, Terry Keenan unapologetically offers 'an old fashioned year by year account celebrating the deeds and tribulations of the PMFC'.
Copies of A Different Breed are available for sale from the Club for $30.00 each.
