Thirds Match Report – Round 4
Considering we could not replace the quality of some of the players we lost from the previous week, the 1st quarter was pretty good, but we missed three easy set shots at goal and failed to make the most of a couple of other opportunities. At the beginning of the 2nd quarter we lost two of the more experienced players; we held on bravely for about 15 minutes, and then Gungahlin applied the blowtorch and really burnt us in the last 10 minutes.
We lost two more players during 3rd Quarter and Gungahlin kept on upping the ante and to the teams credit they kept working as hard as they could, but we did not have enough experience left on the paddock and we just had to try and limit the damage as much as we could. We lost two more players with cramp during the last Qtr and finished with 16 players on the ground and to the boys credit they just continued trying as hard as they could.
