ZEBRAS LAY SIEGE IN WARRNAMBOOL
Moreland Zebras Senior Women today progressed to the Second Round of the 2017 Team App Cup by scorching Warrnambool to the tune of 14 zip.
With conditions in the coastal town blistering, the Zebras we’re untroubled in dispatching the hapless Wolves.
After a slow start, as both teams tested their respective potency; it was the Zebras who would force the floodgates open on 18 min through Amira Idris. From there it was a progression, as the Zebras went into the halftime break comfortably 4 nil up. The second half and player rotation brought no respite for Warrnambool with the Zebras piling on another 7 goals in a blistering 20min spell. More goals followed until the Referee called a halt to proceedings, the score by then 14 !
The Zebras Coach Stephan Achilleos has been pleased with the continued development from his young squad and how quickly the newcomers have settled within the Club.
