The 2003 Grand Final saw the North Shore Bombers fall six points short of premiership glory, going down to UNSW/ES Bulldogs 12.10.82 to 10.16.76. After dominating the competition for most of the year, it was a heartbreaking loss to end the season after coming so close. North Shore was coming off one weeks rest after securing their birth two weeks prior whilst the Bulldogs had to play their way into the Final after a marginal victory the week before. The Reserve grade side gave the club some joy, taking out the premiership by 42 points.
