Some better footy this week across all grades with the Warriors sticking to set game plans and recording great wins. Unfortunately the 2nd Division side came up against an always strong Magpies outfit.
SENIORS
A week is a long time in football and after a good hard week on the track where we were able to work on aspects following Round 1, we were able to come out against Camden and stick to 4 quarters of footy. It was a week where we got all the process right and the Coaching staff were happy with how the match unfolded.
We came out in the first quarter and got off to the start we wanted and were able to set a platform from there, of which we were able to take advantage of in the second quarter. Some injuries in the second quarter to key players removed the flexibility of a bench and with options being removed for a break or rotation, allowed us to work on our fitness through four quarters of football. There are some significant injury concerns which the team will really need to step up and consolidate to cover key unavailabilities for our big clash with the Sharks this week.

RESERVES
Well we traveled with 2 cut lunches and 4 afternoon tea's for the trip to Harrington Park. It was a long one but well worth the while. We were greeted by the guys at Camden AFC and their new facility which was the first hit out for the Club at the new grounds. Great set up too.
We spoke early on the field about how we would play and the game plan for the day was all about discipline. Out of the shed we started well and lead comfortably all the way to the final siren. A couple of things we need to work on to make sure we are competitive against the other sides but all in all a good result.
I was impressed with the centre pairing's that settled into place with Mighty and Marshy teaming up together along with Boris and Blake. They played hard footy after the good tapping from new ruckman Plugger. It was great to have someone come into this position after loosing Claw early last week. Astro had a good game up front kicking 10-1 for the game and was supported well by the rest of the forwards. A big improvement from Nicko who now has claimed the CHF posy. The backline worked hard with a lot of discipline and run and to their credit stuck to our plan all day.
Anyhow that's it from me, we will hit the paddock again this week and tighten up the areas we need to as we face the Southerners this week at home for the Sponsor Round. All come down and enjoy the footy and beer with some for the old timers.

U18's
After a slow start the U18s managed to hold off a determined Magpies to register our first win of the season.
Kicking 5 goals to 4 behinds in the 2nd quarter set the game up but a slow start after half time keep the Magpies in with a sniff. Losing Cam with a broken wrist in the 3rd quarter didn't help but to the boys credit they did as was asked and played "in front" football and managed to kick 3 goals in the first 5 min of the last quarter to run away with a 6 goal win. Well done boys.
Best of luck to Camo and the surgery on his broken wrist.

2ND DIVISION
Always tough coming up against the Magpies at Rosedale Oval. They are a tough bunch of experienced footy players. We took the park with a mix of guys new to the game, some Ressies backing up and some old timers lacing up the boots. All in all a great effort by the boys against a formidable opponent and a good lead in match for next week in fornt of a massive home crowd.
