After an impresive round 1 victory versus Richmond Centrals, the North Brunswick reserves were - much like the seniors - rocked by many changes and the late omissions of important players. Last minute inclusion, John Papanikilou, got North on the board in the first quarter, however this was only a fleeting positive as Box Hill skipped away to a five goal lead at quarter time.
The second quarter saw a better showing from North Brunswick - kicked 4 goals with Mark "Vossy" Rosser kciking his first for the club, and Simon Weda capping off some good form with a goal. At half time North Brunswick were 30 points down but not without a chance on a small ground where scoring could come quickly.
Unfortunately for North Brunswick, scoring came all too easily for Box Hill in the second half - 14 goals to 3 in the second half saw North go down by 98 points - a loss which club seceratary Dino Dimarco acknowledged was "our worst in the reserves for about 10 years."
Weda, Jason Saliba and Jason Serratore put up a good showing, however, North will be hoping for a far better showing in teh reserves next week against South Mornington. Having quite a few players to come back should help the cause.
North Brunswick 8.15.63 lost to Box Hill North 25.11.161
Goals: Papanikilou 3 Serratore 2 Rosser, J.Saliba, Weda 1 each.
