SENIORS
Well, we thought today was going to be a lot tougher than it turned out, our first qtr on a windy day was great. The boys stuck to the game plan and we kicked 7 goals to 1 with Scotty and Milo showing good form. Our Midfield was on top and defence worked the ball out well. I thought Ben Adams had a good game, Philthy was as good as ever, Otto played his best footy thus far and Sneddo was superb. Our half back line of Alex , Beardsy and Owen did as requested and ran off there opponents to create options down field - well done. Special mentions to Dave Collins who played well on Josh Andrews and Milo with 9 Goals!! Great game guys, keep training hard, keep working on what is being asked from Coaching staff and we will keep improving. Well Done, Ski

UNDER 16
To date the only two teams in the under 16 competition most likely to go through to this years' grand final are us and todays' opponents Easts. With both sides having similar numbers and losing 6 players to rep footy the game shaped up to be an indicator as to how competitive each side will be. We started well and our new look midfield in Ben, Blake, James and Reece won the majority center clearances and delivered the ball to our forwards Ayrton, Dylan and Daniel which resulted in goals and we skipped out to a fairly good lead. Also Dale's contribution across the half back line by cutting off any advances from Easts aided our score. However only feilding a team of eleven players and having to play on a full size ground took its toll on players' endurance and with having little options of rotations through the midfield Easts started to gain the upper hand in the second half. We had led all day however in the last five minutes of the game Easts scored the last goal resulting and a three point win to them. The players tried hard and gave their all and were exhausted by the end. I know that they walked off the field with their heads down for the loss at being pipped at the post however it was a courageous performance and encourages me to know that we are competitive against a side that last year dominated the competition. Well done lads, the battle is not over - it has just begun.

Well done boys, another great team effort. For the first time in a long while we didn't have to lend players to the opposition....in fact they lent us two, which gave us the opportunity to play together as a full team. The centre clearances went our way in the first three quarters which enabled us to get the ball to our forwards, who then converted well. Returning player, Ryan Fletcher, had an outstanding game in the forwards, kicking four. In the fourth quarter, when the clearances starting going Easts way, our defenders performed extremely well, and kept Easts goalless.
There has been an obvious improvement throughout the team in the past few weeks, and confidence is building all the time. It was a great team effort, with Josh Stahlhut continuing his good form, Troy losing his voice due to constant talk on the field, and Dale making his presence known on his first game back.
On a down side, we have lost promising forward, Hayden Payne for the season. He copped a hard hit during the second quarter, and left the ground in an ambulance. We'll miss him, but hopefully the rest of the team can stand up and fill the gap he will leave.
With Taz away for a couple of weeks, Ski will step into his place. Let's give him the same committment and performance we give Taz.
Keep up the good work boys.

It was another great team effort today at Rockville. We had an impressive turn out with 18 players playing today for the first time this season, which is very positive for future weeks.
The final score was a very good one for us with JJ again kicking 6 goals in three quarters at full forward, before moving to full back with the rest of the goas spread aroung.
I though Darcy Carberry was by far the best player afield in a great performance in a team effort. Lets hope things just keep improving from here : )

The Under 10's played the Easts Stingers this week. A sluggish start by the boys allowed the opposition to take an early lead. After the end of the first quarter, and a clarification of the rules, the boys soon asserted there dominance on the game. For the rest of the game the boys showed tremendous team work, vision and skills to delight the crowd. Well done boys. Thanks to the parents for there help.
