It was disappointing that the Saints were not able to field an Under 18's side against the formidable Swans outfit. With a number of players still attending Rep duties it won't be too long before the side is showing it's true colours.
One team benefiting from this is the Reserves. They had a tough, close game all day against the Swans and with only 3 mins to go in the final quarter, Scott Lane kicked a great goal from centre half forward that had the crowd cheering. The cheers were louder when the final siren went to see the Saints 5 point winners and did the boys sing the song with some great gusto.
The Seniors had a great start to their match and were looking pretty good in the first half to lead by 4 goals at half time. What happened after half time? Did the Swans crank it up another gear or did the Sainters just run out of legs? Ben Hooke had another great game kicking 4 goals, but the boys will need to improve as they only kicked 3 goals, 2 points after half time.
