Our season launch today was a great success and a fantastic way to start the new year for the Avoca Football Netball Club!
A big turnout of players, families and members came down to the Avoca Public Park to meet our newly appointed coaches and hear about the changes afoot for the 2017 season.
Incoming President Bill Drummond, addressed the crowd and highlighted the expectations of the season ahead.
He spoke positively of the changes that have occurred over the summer and introduced this year’s Committee, and with their support, he is confident that we’ll have an enjoyable year both on and off the ground.
The Club is pleased to appoint Colleen Soulsby (A,B,C Grades) and Sarah Neil (all Junior Grades) to the netball coaching positions and Bill welcomed them today.
Both Colleen and Sarah addressed the crowd and indicated that they look forward to the season ahead.
It is was terrific to listen to our newly appointed senior football coach, Adam Pollock and assistant coach Karl Lewicki, along with reserves football coach Mick Drury, talk about their plans for this year and how the intend to take our club further up the ladder.
Their enthusiasm and professionalism had the room engaged and excited for what is to come.
Senior & reserves first football training session will be held this coming Thursday night (Feb 9th) at 6.30pm and we look forward to seeing a big attendance on the track.
The change is on its way at the Bulldogs, so it’s time for all our players, parents and supporters to unite together, take on a job no matter how small and be a part of our great Club.
