2017 WINTER COMPETITION ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

Happy New Year! We hope that you have had a very relaxing holiday season and that everyone is ready and raring to go for what promises to be one of our biggest seasons yet! We are pleased to provide the following information for all our members who are playing in the winter competition teams this year.  Now is the time to Sign On for the 2017 Winter Competition!   We will be holding two trial days for all Winter Comp players for TEAM and division grading purposes:

 

TRIAL #1  SATURDAY FEBRUARY 4th

TRIAL #2  SATURDAY FEBRUARY 11th

 

TRIAL TIMES:

 

U9 – 8am to 9am (Viper Ball for Ages 4 to 7 will be as usual.)

U11 – 9am to 10am

U13 - 10am to 11am

U15 – 11am to 12 Noon

U17 – 12 Noon – 1pm

U20 – 1pm to 2pm

 

The Winter Competition starts with a six week grading period starting from Friday and Saturday February 24/25th. Round 1 of the official Winter Competition begins on Friday and Saturday April 21st / 22nd and continuing to the Grand Final on August 18/19th 2017.

 

NOTE:  Members who are simply attending our Saturday Skills program and not playing in the Gold Coast Basketball Winter Competition do not need to complete the below registration. Further information on our Saturday Skills Program Membership will be available to you at our first Saturday Skills, which is SATURDAY JANUARY 28th. 

 

TEAM TRAINING:

Varsity Vipers Club train as a Club at our weekly Saturday Skills Program.  In addition to this, individual Team Trainings may be scheduled at the discretion of Team Coaches.

 

UNIFORMS:

We are pleased to launch our NEW VARSITY VIPERS ‘NBA STYLE’ REVERSIBLE UNIFORM that is yours to purchase and KEEP!  Thanks to Zone Sports, we will be the first Basketball club on the Gold Coast to unveil this fully reversible shorts and singlet set.

           

HOW TO ORDER:

In 2017, Varsity Vipers players are required to purchase their playing uniform – this ordering process will be included in the Online Winter Competition Registration procedure. We aim to deliver all uniforms ready for Round 1 of the formal Winter Season.

 

UNIFORM SIZING:

Sizing samples will be available at our first Saturday Skills Day on 28th January should you be unsure of sizing required for your player.  Sizing chart details and pictures of the uniforms are available on our Vipers News page.

Uniform playing numbers will be allocated by the Club to avoid age group and divisional number duplication.

In 2017, Vipers players will continue using online registrations and the total fee structure and inclusions for the 2017 Winter Competition are detailed below.

 

PLEASE REGISTER ONLINE BY FRIDAY 3 FEBRUARY 2017 to secure your position in our two-day trial.

 

NOTE: Late Registrations will not be guaranteed a place in a team.

GET STARTED VOUCHERS:

VIPERS continues to participate in the Qld Government initiative - Get Started Program – with the next Round of voucher applications open on 25th January 2017.  If you apply and receive a Get Started $150 voucher – please present this to our Treasurer at Saturday Skills Program to complete further arrangements.
