The Melton Football Club is pleased to have Dylan Kight on board for the 2017 season.
At 25 years of age he’s decided next year is a good time to play some footy alongside his brothers Braedan and Jordan at the Bloods. He last played footy in 2011 with Diggers Rest, and returns ‘home’ after playing his junior footy with the Melton Bloods.
Dylan is an accomplished cricketer, having been part of the Victorian Second XI state team and Victorian Under 23 team in recent years. His cricket commitments will continue to keep him busy throughout the rest of the summer – he was recently named Captain of Footscray-Edgewater in the Victorian Premier Cricket competition for the 2016/17 season. He’s widely considered one of the best wicket keepers in the state, and is averaging nearly 40 runs with the bat so far this season.
There’s good mail to suggest he’s a better footballer than his brothers, and we should see some sibling rivalry around the footy club next year. Welcome Dylan!
