The mid-season break could not have come at a better time for the once struggling Bears who have kicked off the back half of the season in fine form.
The seniors have won two from three since the break and look like a brand new side. The inclusion of Alex Mitchell and Warwick Maughan during the past four matches has given the Bears the impetus they needed.
While finals is still a long way off, with continued improvement and better performances from key personnel, September action is not out of the question.
The reserves have also found the going easier since the break, and a hard fought tie against Robina three weeks ago has got their season back on track.
An 89 point turn around against Strathpine since round three has showed the side that on their day they can beat any side in the competition.
