A hard week on the training track and their first win in a month helped the Bears secure an emphatic 57 point victory over Alex Hills on the weekend.
Led by six goal hauls from Shayne Etherton and Brendan Stirling the Bears were never headed after half time.
Going into quarter time with a slight lead, the Bears continued to pressure the Alex Hills defence and opened up a 3 goal lead by the main break.
A third quarter scoring blitz saw the Bears run all over a weary Bombers outfit who were outclassed in every facet of the game.
With the victory secured early into the 4th quarter a slack last 15 minutes saw the Bombers kick easy back-to-back goals and bring some respectability to their total.
The only down-side was a long term injury suffered by Damien Joyce after he ruptured a tendon in his hand, which will see him sidelined for up to 10 weeks.
The victory saw the Bears move back into the top 5 and into finals contention.
Playing at home against Caloundra this weekend is the next challenge that awaits the on-fire Bears and a victory will see them move higher up the ladder.
