The reserves fell away in the final quarter against Wynnum on the
weekend to let slip a good opportunity for a second win. With a number
of withdrawals during the week to injury a couple of new faces came into
the side but Wynnum managed to use the wind far better and came home
with a wet sail after only leading by 11 points after three quarters.
A solid performance by Travis 'Frog' Hicks on his return from the
Caribbean and some flashes of what the side can do with a bit of
confidence became apparent to start the game, but it was not carried
over four quarters.
Coach Dan Holdsworth and new captain Tim Ingram will be looking for a
good attitude to training in the coming weeks as a number of players
will be returning from injury for both sides, but he was able to take
away some positives for the coming round clash against Alex Hills.
