The Kenmore Bears will enter tomorrow's clash against Caboolture hoping to improve on their performances from the previous two weeks.
After narrowly losing to UQ a fortnight ago the Bears headed to Strathpine last weekend undermanned, but confident of victory. However, a poor performance in the first three quarters led to a 20 point loss.
After training strongly at their new home ground they enter tomorrow's match confident of a form reversal and making their way back into the top 5.
The inclusion of Vice-captain Trent Fuller onto the bench, who missed the last two games with a broken hand, strengthens the Bear's running brigade, something they have lacked during the past two weeks.
Coach Jeff Williams has gone into the match with a new look backline to the one he named last weekend. Cameron and Andrew Stirling make their way down back, after short stints up forward, to bolster the backline that has leaked 228 points the past two weeks.
Ian Maughan, who missed last weekend with a wedding, also goes into the backline, which is beginning to take the shape of the Premiership winning one of 2006.
A bold move by the coaching panel has seen the selection of 17 year Tim Beadel for his first seniors match. Beadel is a key member of the Bear's under 18 side and after training and playing strongly over the past month he has been selected on the bench for Saturday's game.
With a full strength side still 6 weeks away, this is definitely the strongest team put on the paddock all year.
