The Kenmore Bears' 2007 campaign continues this weekend with the local derby against University of Queensland.
Coming of a convincing victory against Robina a fortnight ago the Bears will be eager to continue their unbeaten streak dating back to round 1 of 2006. However, with 5 of their starting 18 out this weekend, victory on Saturday will not be an easy task.
The return of the injured Ian Maughan to the back-pocket and the inclusion of first gamer Hayden Ryan to the half-back-flank bolster the somewhat depleted outfit.
After struggling in the forward pocket in the opening round against Robina, boom recruit Cameron Stirling has been moved to full-forward in a surprising move by the coaching panel.
Having lost their inspirational captain Peter Stowasser and joint vice captain Trent Fuller, young gun Brendan Stirling will be captaining the injury ravaged Bears for the first time in his short yet illustrious career.
The Game starts at 2:00pm at University of Queensland's home ground.
