Grounds for Celebrations
The Werribee Football Club is pleased to announce that from today its home ground will be known as Bartercard Oval at Chrinside Park.
The 3-year deal between the Tigers and the world's largest Trade Exchange, Bartercard, will see no external difference to the current ground, however new signage will feature within the ground.
Werribee President, John Nicol, is ecstatic with the arrangement between his club and Bartercard.
Chirnside Park has a lot of history in the Werribee area and with our club, which is why it is most important to keep that as part of the renaming. Bartercard is a reputable worldwide company of excellence and we welcome them as the naming right sponsors of the ground the Tigers call home," Mr Nicol said.
Bartercard Managing Director, Trevor Dietz, was equally as enthusiastic.
At Bartercard we strive to actively involve ourselves in the local community, despite being an international company, our alliance with the Werribee Tigers is an ideal opportunity to exercise that," Mr Dietz said.
The City of Wyndham Council has played an active role in this decision, the club worked closely with the Council through the renaming process to ensure any concerns the Council had on behalf of the constituents of the City were addressed.
