Geelong 25.16 - 166
Goals: Allan 4, Podsiadly 3, Robinson 3, B.Murphy 2, Twomey 2, Power, Faulkner, Higgins
Best: Robinson, Young, Allan, Sleeman, Castello, Hassan
Dylan Addison
Won his fair share of the footy and continued to be physically involved in the game which is a very positive sign.
Tom Davidson
Started in our forward line but moved down back to counter some of Geelong's tall forwards where I felt he did a good job.
Cameron Faulkner
Played a negating role across the wing and half back flank on some of Geelong's more dangerous midfielders and small forwards. He worked hard in this position and got better as the game went on.
Shaun Higgins
Gathered 22 possessions in total. Wasn't afraid to put his head over the ball which is very encouraging as Shaun continues to work his way into the midfield rotation.
Damian McCormack
Was a little bit down compared to his great form of the past few weeks, but the positive for Damian is that he is nearly the first player picked in our backline each week due to the run and attack he provides.
Brad Murphy
Kicked two goals and continues to show steady improvement. Brad won his fair share of contested football which was also a positive sign.
Stephen Tiller
Was impressive in his first senior match at Werribee. Finished with 12 touches and 1 goal. His contested marking was a highlight.
WERRIBEE LISTED PLAYERS
James Allan
Was the dominant midfielder for throughout the match. Ran hard all day and kicked 4 goals which is great for someone who played in the middle all game.
Brent Robertson
A youngster over from Tasmania who also played as a goal kicking midfielder, finishing with three goals and 26 possessions.
Jarred Young
Played as a tagger yet again and did a good job of negating one of their more dangerous midfielders.
Jarred Garth
Similar to Tom Davidson, played most of the game done back as a tall to restrict Geelong's tall forward line.
Kris Thompson
Presented himself well as a steady backman in his first senior game for the club.
