Former Melbourne full back Chris Lamb has signed on with the Zebras and is set to play a major and varying role in 2006. A member of Sandy's 2004 premiership side and missing the 2000 Grand Final win through injury, Lamby's experience will be invaluable throughout next seasons campaign.
Lamb, 24, has been earmarked by coach Mark Williams to play a mixed role in 2006. "We could put him in the ruck or even in the forward line,'' Williams said. "He's a big bloke and he's very versatile. The other reason I'm wrapt to have him is because he's such a fantastic bloke to have around the club. When Sandy and Melbourne came together he really worked hard to make it work".
Ex-demon's Rigoni and Lamb's signatures are further indications of the strength that exists in the alignment between the Sandringham and Melbourne Football Clubs.
