The Loy Yang B Gippsland Power are pleased to announce that Austinn Jones has been appointed Under 18 TAC Cup Coach/Development Manager (full time).
Jones played a total of 226 AFL games with the St Kilda Football Club (including the 1997 Grand Final in which he was voted St Kilda's best player). He also played State Of Origin for Victoria in 1997, was All Australian in 1997 & 2004 and represented Australia V Ireland in 1997 & 2004.
Following his retirement from the AFL in 2005, Jones coached Narre Warren Football Club in the Cardina Casey League taking them to back-to-back Premierships in 2006 and 2007.
Jones is excited about the opportunity to coach in the TAC Cup at the elite junior level.
I'm really looking forward to the challenge" Jones said. Having been involved with several Dandenong Stingrays youngsters at his current club Narre Warren Jones knows what it takes to reach the highest level being drafted in 1994 at Number 48 for the Dandenong Stingrays TAC Cup Club.
In his time he was considered one of the leagues most skilful and gifted players but will demand discipline, commitment and a hard work ethic

Jones will start full-time on Monday with Power and attend his first Power training session on Monday night at Traralgon.
