On top of their club training, playing and promotional obligations, every player is required to fulfill an average of 24 hours per year promoting the game for the AFL Game Development department.
Most of these "player appearances" are coordinated through Geelong Falcons Development Manager John Edsall who said that "the commitment to date from Geelong players has been outstanding".
The players have completed Primary and Secondary school visits throughout the Geelong and Hampden region, as well as conducting Junior Club Nights at local football venues throughout Geelong. They have also spent an 8 hour day in country regions including Hamilton, Casterton and Warrnambool where they also visited Primary and Secondary schools.
Later in the season there will be an Auskick Superclinic conducted down at Skilled Stadium as well as individual Auskick Centre visits.
