It was probably one of our better starts for the season with good efforts across the whole ground. We ran hard and worked hard at most contests and if we had of been front & centre at few more, we could have created a lot more opportunities.
For the 2nd Qtr we maintained our work rate and were still looking competitive, but it was Tuggeranong's inaccuracy in front of goals that nearly kept us in the game. We were winning our fair share of CB's, but Tuggeranong's backline upped the ante and we did not make the most of our limited opportunities ISF, but it still was an encouraging qtr for us with most players having crack and working hard.
A big positive for us was; we came out after half time still having a crack and kept up the work rate for the whole qtr, but with basic skill errors and simple turn overs we kept ourselves under pressure just as much as Tuggeranong did and once again if they had of kicked accurately it would have been even uglier for us.
For the 4th Qtr, with a lot of players still trying, but rapidly tiring from being under constant pressure, mostly created by our own silly turnovers and Tuggeranong making us pay at every opportunity, they really put the pedal to the metal and put us away. But as bad as the scoreboard looked and as bad as our skill errors were, the effort from the players was the best for quite a few weeks.
