The NCCUA’s Annual Presentation night was held on Saturday 3 September 2016 to recognise the achievements of umpires throughout the 2016 BDAFL Season. The night was celebrated by past and present members of the NCCUA in Newcastle.

The winner of the converted NCCUA Umpire of the Year award was an up and coming promising young Umpire who in 2016 was named the BDAFL Umpire of the Year (2016) for the second consecutive year and at the age of 18 umpired his third Premier Division (Black Diamond Cup) grand final.
