The U13's have reversed their fortunes from two years ago to dominate the Grand Final and bring home the cup. A strong showing from around the ground with miserly defence from best on ground Jacob Wood didn't give the joint venture Bateau Bay-Niagara Park team a chance as they cruised to an 11 goal victory.
From the first quarter Killarney Vale dominated play with great passing and running to restrict the opposition to only 3 forward 50 entries, each quickly repelled with massive kicks out of defense by Jacob Wood, keeping them scoreless. This enabled the forwards to capitalise and kick 5 goals 1 point in the first quarter, leaving TEBB/NPO with a daunting task to try to claw back the lead.
The Bombers displayed end to end running and a willingness to share the ball around, lead by Zach Knight, the focal point in the forward line, who was in doubt after injuring himself two weeks prior in the U15's. Jack Smith provided the Bombers with the first use of the ball as he dominated the ruck
