The Twos had a great win against the Glen Waverley, Nick Coad was brilliant with five goals and another combination of brothers, Dylan and Bailey Jones were standouts.
The 19’s cemented their place in the finals with a comprehensive win against Kilsyth, Liam Mooney and Harry Lacchiana both booted four goals and big man Cal Ternes showed some good form in the ruck and up forward.
This Week
This week we have the pleasure of welcoming the Kilsyth Football club in the Seniors and Reserves, and Blackburn Pioneers in the 19’s. Kilsyth have been the only team this year to give us a touch up, so the boys will want some revenge this time around. There have been reports that Kilsyth have advised their Senior, Reserve (despite having his team firmly entrenched in the finals) and Under 19 coaches that they won’t be required for season 2017, so they may very well come out firing so we can expect a tough contest.
With a game and a fair percentage now separating us from fourth position and a finals spot, we can now only hope that the moons align and we are able to grab the ‘mathematical chance’ that we have left to secure a game next week.
Essentially we need to win by about 10 goals and hope that Forest Hill beat Glen Waverley by 10!
Either way we are extremely proud of what our players, coaching staff and club have achieved this year and we look forward to building on this in the years to come.
It would be great for the club to take three wins and continue the momentum that has been built this year.
This week we also welcome all Surrey Park Junior Football Club Coaches and Team Managers to join us for a celebration of the 2016 EFL Division Four H&A season. The day will also involve introducing the inaugural 2016 Panther Progression Program participants
