During the split round 14 matches in the 2016 BDAFL competition, Rachel Goodneough created history at Max McMahon Oval. On Saturday 23 July 2016, Rachel became the first female in NCCUA history to umpire 150 matches in the Black Diamond AFL.
Overall Rachel will become just the 18th NCCUA member to officiate in 150 games.
Rachel’s goal umpiring career has included:
44 Black Diamond Cup matches
13 First Division matches
15 Second Division matches
74 Under 18 matches
3 Women's matches
Rachel has also officiated in two Second Division Grand Finals.
The Goodenough's have made a remarkable contribution to umpiring in the region as Rachel's husband Colin has officiated as a boundary umpire on 254 occasions.
Well done and congratulations Rachel, a terrific achievement!
