Update from Surf Coast Committee
This information is for all Surf Coast Members.
Following our most recent Surf Coast Football Club Committee Meeting it has been announced that our current President Darren Edginton will not continue for the 2017 season.
Darren is one year into his most recent second year term as President (taking Darren's Presidency into three successful years at the helm)
Whilst he will remove himself from the role as President at the next AGM, he is also willing to step aside earlier and work with any interested incumbent as a part of helpful hand over. (Providing correct Constitutional processes in electing of a new President).
If no one is willing to take over the role prior to the next AGM then Darren will continue in the role for the remainder of the season.
Darren is still keen to remain involved in the Club but in a reduced capacity due to work committments.
On behalf of Surf Coast Football Club Committee and all it's Members we thank Darren for his dedication and time involved as President and for those who volunteer understand what it takes to do such a role, it is a hugely appreciated.
The Club felt it was best that this information was made available to its members ASAP so people can start to think about helping out in 2017 as their are a number of roles within the committee avaiable at the AGM with a number of current Committee Members two year tenure being up.
