We were unable to secure the points against the third placed Caulfield Bears at the weekend. The bears had the better of the start before Dave Monaghan evened things up with two goals late in the first term.
The rest of the day was a dour struggle with defences on top. Pete Heng, Craig Keenan and Brad Dight were providing supply but we were not able to convert. Andrew Do continued his good form in the backline along with Matthew Ork. Unfortunately the home side found a few more avenues to goal and pulled away for a hard fought 29 point win.
The reserve continue to push for a finals berth, recording a 27 point victory.
We started the better slamming on three unanswered goals in the first term. Goals would prove hard to come by as we would only manage four more goals for the day. To the credit of the defence we only conceded three goals for the day.
Mitch Latimer continued his good form and was well supported by Ryan Oliver, Jason Huljak, Ryan Oliver and Alain Tang. The coach managed three majors in a low scoring affair.
