Shane Lowndes will in round 12 will do what the statisticians at the NCCUA think no other umpire has done in BDAFL history. He has made his debut in his second umpiring discipline in the one season.
Back on the 18th of April 2016, Lowndes debuted as a boundary umpire and on the 2nd of July he has debuted as a goal umpire, possibly making him the first umpire in our league's history to achieve the feat.
Shane Lowndes has umpired since 2014 and has currently umpired 44 matches. The majority of those matches he has umpired as a boundary umpire. He is a reliable umpire who will run and do the job wherever needed, in any grade necessary. He has been a quiet achiever in the NCCUA.
The NCCUA congratulates Shane on his debut and his rare achievement.
