Match Review Highlights Highlights - Seniors beat fellow contender to go 11-0 - Reserves in a canter - Under 19s fall to second-placed Collegians - Colts drop second in mid-season wobble Match Reviews Seniors Mazenod faced another big challenge on Saturday, playing away to third-placed Old Ivanhoe, but they again rose to the occasion to record a 43-point win. Conditions for the match were good, but mid-week rain left the ground heavy. This made for a tense, physical encounter against two of the best sides in the competition. Mazenod always held the ascendency but the margin never went beyond two goals. At three-quarter time, the Nodders held an 11-point advantage. In the final quarter, Mazenod’s superior fitness was telling as they kicked away from their opponents to record another outstanding victory. Brad Kovac returned from injury, but hadn’t lost any of his sharpness, kicking four goals. Liam Welsford was brilliant all day and Jacob Murdock relished his promotion from the Under 19s with a very solid performance.
