Junior Quad Series
Meteors FC youngsters were selected to represent the Gladstone U16 girls in the 2016 Junior Quad Series. Unfortuantely the Quad Series has turned out to be Gladstone verse Rockhampton at each Carnival date so far this year.
Kaylee Dennien, Josie Ware, Tegan Van Vegchel, Danielle Fenwick and Jaymee-lee Hickey were all succesful in gaining selection at the recent trials held at Palm Drive Junior Fields. All girls play for the U16 Meteor Majestics and not only do they have the advantage of knowing how each other plays, but they also adapt quickly with new players around them.
The first round saw the Gladstone girls team play against Rockhampton twice winning the first game 1-4 and having a draw in the second game 1 all.
The second round saw the Gladstone girls up against Rockhampton again for two games winning the first game 4 nil and winning the second game 2 nil.
Congratulations to the Meteors girls and the Gladstone girls team on some great display of solid football skills during the course of the first two rounds. Good luck in round 3 on the 26th June at Rockhampton.
