Balfe Park New Club Rooms Opened
The grand opening of the upgraded rooms at Balfe Park itook place on Saturday 8 October along with a club Saturday SkillZ Gala Day, our 2016 AGM and the welcome presence of local Councillors and Meembers of Parliament.
The upgrade was achieved through a community campaign led by the club, with Moreland City Council responding to co fund an election promise by the Andrews Labor State Government.
The new rooms are both upgraded and expanded, with a referees room and a canteen now making the venue close to suitable for matches as well as training.
There is of course more to do, including reconstruction of the playing surface and installation of new lighting - both projects which the club will be lobbying for with Council and the State Government.
