It certainly was a very physical but fair contest with a cross wind causing difficulties. We certainly wasted opportunities early, but also failed to stop Balwyn to kicking some easier goals. Anyway, we will meet again. Our better players were Joel Perry, Shane Davidson, Tom Schneider, Kirby McConnon, Kyle Emley, Sam Wadley. Thankfully Adam Parker’s injury was not as bad as it looked. Back in a couple of weeks. The Reserves comfortably reversed the result of the 2015 Grand Final, but with so many different players on, both sides. Our best were Nick Mendes, Ned Coghlan, Nick Johnson, Tyson Hyamms, Daniel Reid and Wade McConnon . Mitch Davis got 4 and Jaydon Stiles 3. The Under 19’s had a bye, but this allowed the Forest Hill Eagles to play a game at Vermont which they comprehensively won by 82 points. Our thanks to Forest Hill and Eastern Lions Football Clubs for allowing it to happen. Our boys loved it.
